Unless otherwise noted, admission offers access to all exhibitions on view, as well as the historic Turnblad Mansion. Admission is free for ASI members and for everyone on Thursdays after 3 pm. Festivals change availability of admission during the first weekend in December and during Midsommar the third Saturday in June. These events may have special pricing, unique start times, and walk-up sales may be unavailable.

Lunch menu is served from 11 am-3 pm and on Thursdays 11 am-8 pm.

Happy hour every Thursday from 3­–8 pm. Enjoy 50% off all bottles of wine and $2 off cocktails, and $1 off beer and wine.

  • Youth & Students: Ages 6-18 and university students with ID $6

Museum Access Programs

ASI offers a number of access programs designed to address barriers to participation, deepen engagement and build community. Learn more about our museum access programs below.

To receive the benefits of any of the listed Museum Admission Access programs, please call to reserve admission tickets. These discounts and benefits are not available online.

This pass provides free admission for a visitor or entire family.

As part of the collaboration among the National Endowment for the Arts, Blue Star Families, the Department of Defense, and museums across America, ASI offers free museum admission to US military employees, veterans, and their families.

Museums for All is a national access program that encourages individuals of all backgrounds to visit museums regularly and build lifelong museum habits. This program provides free admission to qualifying individuals and their dependents during regular ASI hours. Fees for any special programs and events are not included. Simply ask for a free Museums for All admission when you visit ASI!

To qualify for Museums for All, you must be enrolled in one of the programs listed below:

  • TANF (temporary assistance for needy families)
  •  MFIP (MN family Investment Program)
  • SNAP (supplemental nutrition assistance program)
  • MFAP (MN Food Assistance Program)
  • WIC (Women, Infants, and Children Program
  • MN Headstart
  • General Assistance
  • Medical Assistance
  • MinnesotaCare
  • Supplemental Security Income
  • Social Security Disability Benefits
  • Food Stamps / EBT Card
  • RCA card (Refugee Cash Assistance)
  • Section 8
  • Free/Reduced Price School Meals

ASI offers free admission to adults and youth that require assistance to experience the museum and do not need to pay to bring their PCA, interpreter or other caregivers.

All children under age 18 receive free admission with the purchase of adult or senior admission.

Select levels of ASI Memberships include free admission for one guest at each visit.

Reciprocal Organization of Associated Museums (ROAM) offers free admission to one visitor that is a member at any participating museum.

This arts access program is available exclusively to metro public library users. Anyone with a library card from one of the eight public library systems in the Twin Cities can find opportunities to reserve free and/or discounted admission to a wide range of arts experiences. ASI offers free admission to the museum during select exhibits or discounts to programs. Visit the smARTPass website for more information.
