All of ASI’s programs and events are available for registration online, via phone at 612-871-4907, and in person at the ASI front desk during open hours.
Tickets for ASI programs, as well as museum admission, may be purchased online, via phone, or in-person at the ASI Front Desk during open hours.
Advance purchase is required for most activities. Same day purchases available when specified and dependent on capacity.
ASI charges a 4% processing fee on all event and class registrations. Registrations paid via cash or check are not subject to a processing fee. Check or cash payments can be made during open hours at the front desk of ASI.
Full payment must be received for a registration to be complete.
ASI keeps waitlists for all filled programs. Please call 612-871-4907 to be added to a waitlist. ASI will only contact those on waitlists as space becomes available.
Processing fees are non-refundable.
Cancellations made more than 30 days before a program receive a refund of the program cost.
Cancellations made 11-30 days before the start of the program are subject to a $10 cancellation fee per ticket on the reservation.
Cancellations within 10 days of a program are non-refundable.
ASI reserves the right to cancel a program one week prior to its start date if enrollment has not reached the required minimum, or due to severe weather. If ASI cancels a program for any reason, registrants will be notified via phone or email and will receive a full refund, less the processing fee. In the case that ASI remains open for programming during inclement weather, absent registrants are not eligible for refunds.
Virtual programs are taught over Zoom. Participants need a strong internet connection and a device with video capabilities. Nordic Handcraft and Food programs only are recorded for documentation or teaching purposes. Login instructions are provided at the time of purchase. Contact ASI if you have not received login information. Please note, language classes are not recorded.
Tickets and registration in classes are transferable if recipient meets age or other requirements listed plus brings necessary materials or fees.
You are welcome to forward event confirmations along to family and friends or call our Visitor Services Team at 612-871-4907 so they can update programs rosters to reflect participant changes.
Certain virtual programs use Kits that include some or all of the required program materials. Kits are available for pick up at ASI approximately one week in advance of a program or can be shipped for an additional fee.
Certain in-person workshops require material fees payable by cash or check to the instructor at the beginning of class. These fees cover equipment and materials used.
Following State and CDC guidance, visitors may choose whether to wear a mask during their visit. Please notify ASI if you will not be attending a pre-registered program due to illness by calling 612-871-4907. Cancellations for any reason are subject to the cancellation policies described above. Certain ASI programs have age requirements. Registrants must meet listed age requirements in order to participate in a program. Unless otherwise noted, Nordic Handcraft and Nordic Table workshops are open to ages 18 and older.
ASI is pleased to welcome students from historically underrepresented groups and cultural communities into its programs. A limited number of scholarship registrations are available, and are filled on a first come, first served basis. ASI may close and cancel programs in the case of severe weather. ASI contacts program registrants directly via email or phone in case of weather closures, and closure information is posted on our website and social media accounts.
