Swedish Christmas goat made out of straw used as a decoration during the holidays. There is a giant one built in Gävle, Sweden, every year and this year ASI has added its own oversized julbock to the collection. Hur många julbock har du hemma? How many straw Christmas goats do you have at home?

All of ASI’s programs and events are available for registration online, via phone at 612-871-4907, and in person at our front desk during open hours.
Tickets for ASI programs, as well as museum admission, may be purchased online, via phone, or in-person at the ASI Front Desk during business hours. Advance purchase is recommended for all activities. Full payment must be received for registration to be complete.
A registration fee is added to all tickets. The fee is based on event or transaction type and covers expenses related to the transaction.
Any ASI activity may be filmed, photographed, or recorded by ASI staff. Registrants consent to appear in this documentation and its future use by ASI.
ASI keeps waitlists for all filled programs. Please call 612-871-4907 to be added to a waitlist. ASI will only contact those on waitlists as space becomes available.
If a program ticket is canceled within 30 days of the program, a $10 cancellation fee will apply to each pre-registered ticket. Please note that while participants will receive a refund for the program itself, registration fees are non-refundable. Cancellations within 10 days of a program are non-refundable.
ASI reserves the right to cancel a program one week prior to its start date if enrollment has not reached the required minimum, or due to severe weather. If ASI cancels a program for any reason, registrants will be notified via phone or email and will receive a full refund. In the case that ASI remains open for programming during inclement weather, absent registrants are not eligible for refunds.
Virtual programs are taught over Zoom. Participants need a strong internet connection and a device with video capabilities. Nordic Handcraft and Food programs only are recorded for documentation or teaching purposes. Login instructions are provided at the time of purchase. Contact ASI if you have not received login information. Please note, language classes are not recorded.
Visit https://asimn.org/visit/health-safety/ for information about current safety guidelines.
Certain virtual programs use Kits that include some or all of the required program materials. Kits are available for pick up at ASI approximately one week in advance of a program or can be shipped for an additional fee.
Certain in-person workshops require material fees payable by cash or check to the instructor at the beginning of class. These fees cover equipment and materials used.
Certain ASI programs have age requirements. Registrants must meet listed age requirements in order to participate in a program. Unless otherwise noted, Nordic Handcraft and Nordic Table workshops are open to ages 18 and older.
ASI is pleased to welcome students from historically underrepresented groups and cultural communities into its programs. A select number of these registrations are available on a first come, first served basis. Please fill out the online form at www.asimn.org/scholarships.
ASI may close and cancel programs in the case of severe weather. ASI contacts program registrants directly via email or phone in case of weather closures, and closure information is posted on our website and social media accounts.
In the case that ASI remains open for programming during inclement weather, absent registrants are not eligible for refunds.
