ORDERING

All purchases of products are subject to the following terms and conditions in addition to the American Swedish Institute (“ASI”) Website Terms of Use, viewable at https://asimn.org/terms-of-use/. By making a purchase, you agree that those ASI Website Terms of Use and these terms and conditions together form the entire agreement between you and ASI regarding the purchase of products. As to any purchase, the terms and conditions below shall control and supersede in the event of any conflict with the ASI Website Terms of Use.

PLACING AN ORDER

Customers may place orders online to be shipped to a physical address (no p.o. boxes) or for curbside pick-up. Orders may also be placed over the phone by calling the ASI Museum Store at 612-870-3364. We’re happy to assist!

When you place an order, ASI may verify your method of payment, shipping address and/or tax exempt identification number, if any, before processing your order. You agree that your order is an offer to buy, under these terms and conditions, the products listed in your order. ASI, at its discretion, may choose to accept your order by processing your payment and shipping the product, or may, for any reason, decline to accept your order or any part of your order in ASI’s sole discretion. ASI may limit or cancel quantities available for purchase on any order on any basis, and to alter the availability or duration of any special offers at any time. If we decline to accept your order, we will attempt to notify you using the email address or other contact information you have provided with your order. Delivery and/or shipment dates provided in connection with any order are estimates only and do not represent fixed or guaranteed delivery dates.

TRACKING AN ORDER

You will receive and email confirmation once you place your order, at which point it may be tracked.

PROMOTIONAL CODES

When applicable, a promotion code may be entered in the order check-out process. Offers cannot be applied to previous purchases and cannot be combined with any other offers. We reserve the right to cancel any order due to unauthorized, altered, or ineligible use of discounts.

MEMBER DISCOUNTS

ASI members receive a 10% discount on all regular-priced (‘non-sale’-item) purchases in the museum store. Enter your member code at check-out.

PRICING AND PRODUCT INFORMATION

ASI makes every effort to provide current and accurate information relating to products and prices, but does not guarantee the currency or accuracy of any such information. Pricing for a product is stated in relation to the item and you agree to pay the price listed for any product at checkout.

ASI attempts to display as accurately as possible the colors and features of the products shown on the ASI website. However, because the colors and picture quality you see will depend on many factors, including your monitor or printer, ASI cannot guarantee that the color and features you see matches the product depicted.

ASI relies on the original manufacturer to provide any product warnings related to use of the products and/or chemicals that may be in the products, including, but not limited to safe harbor warnings under California’s Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act (commonly known as Proposition 65). Information relating to products is subject to change without notice. Prices are subject to change at any time prior to ASI’s completion of your order.

In the event ASI discovers a material error in the description or availability of a product that affects your outstanding order with ASI, or an error in pricing, we will notify you of the corrected version, and you may choose to accept the corrected version, or cancel the order. If you choose to cancel the order, and your credit card has already been charged for a purchase, ASI will issue a credit to your credit card in the amount of the charge. All prices are in U.S. dollars. ASI is not responsible for pricing, typographical, or other errors in any offer by ASI and ASI reserves the right to cancel any orders arising from such errors.

PAYMENT

The billing address and phone number entered at check-out must match those associated with your credit or debit card. Payment declines may be due to limits set by your bank. Your options for making payment are displayed at checkout. You shall pay to ASI all costs incurred by ASI in collecting on any dishonored check or other payment mechanism or past due amount from you, including all court costs, collection costs, and attorney’s fees. If payment is by check is allowed and a check you give us for payment is dishonored for any reason by the bank or other institution on which it is drawn, you agree to pay ASI $40.00 as a service charge (if the check cannot be redeposited).

WARRANTY

ALL PRODUCTS ARE SOLD ON AN “AS-IS,” “WHERE IS,” AND “AS-AVAILABLE” BASIS. ASI MAKES NO EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES OR REPRESENTATIONS WITH RESPECT TO ANY PRODUCT, AND (ii) ASI EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT WITH REGARD TO THE PRODUCTS.

RETURNS

If for any reason you decide that you do not want to keep your purchase, you may return the merchandise within 30 days and your payment method will be refunded for the returned items as long as they are undamaged and in original packaging. Your payment method will not be refunded until the returned items are received by us. Please also include the original packing slip and ship to:

Sale items are non-returnable. Shipping charges are non-refundable. You may also visit our store at the above address and handle your return in-person.

TAX

Minnesota customers are charged 8.025% sales tax on non-apparel items. Shipping is not taxed.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

IN NO EVENT SHALL ASI BE LIABLE TO YOU OR TO ANY THIRD PARTY FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, PUNITIVE OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES (INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION LOST PROFITS, LOST SAVINGS, OR LOSS OF BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY) ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO ANY PRODUCT, EVEN IF ASI HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. SUBJECT TO THE FOREGOING, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE LIABILITY OF ASI RELATING IN ANY WAY TO ANY PRODUCT EXCEED THE PURCHASE PRICE FOR THE PRODUCT, REGARDLESS OF THE LEGAL THEORY ASSERTED FOR SUCH LIABILITY, WHETHER IN CONTRACT, TORT, WARRANTY OR OTHERWISE. YOU ACKNOWLEDGE THAT THE AMOUNTS PAYABLE FOR THE PRODUCTS ARE BASED IN PART ON THESE LIMITATIONS, AND YOU FURTHER AGREE THAT THESE LIMITATIONS SHALL APPLY NOTWITHSTANDING ANY FAILURE OF ESSENTIAL PURPOSE OF ANY LIMITED REMEDY.

Some States may not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you, but in any event shall apply to the maximum extent allowed by law.

Shipping & Curbside Pick-up

Curbside Pick-Up
Curbside Pick-Up is available Wednesday through Sunday 11 a.m. – 3 p.m. Select ‘Curbside Pick-Up’ at check-out and call 612-870-3363 or email shop@asimn.org to set up a day/time for pick-up.

Shipping
Shipping rates/options are chosen by the customer at check-out. We use ‘USPS Priority’ for most shipments and also offer UPS as an option for larger packages. Over-sized shipments may incur additional shipping charges. Expedited shipping is also offered and may be selected at check-out. We ship only to the 48 contiguous United States. Ground-shipment orders normally arrive in 3-7 business days. We do not offer international shipping.
