Membership levels

Basic Membership Level

ASI’s basic memberships support the programs and activities you love while providing great benefits to experience everything ASI has to offer.

  • Full-time student: Students under 26 $25 / year
  • Individual: $50 / year
  • Individual Plus: Includes one free guest admission per visit $60 / year
  • Dual: Includes two adult members $65 / year
  • Household: Includes two adults and all children ages 18 and under living in the household $75 / year
  • Non-resident household: Includes same as above; must live over 50 miles from the Twin Cities $50 / year

Contributing Membership Levels

All contributing level memberships include two adults and all children under 18 living in the same household, plus one free guest admission per visit.

  • Supporter: Includes four free guest passes $125 / year
  • Non-resident Contributor*: Above benefits, plus: Reciprocal membership benefits at hundreds of participating ROAM institutions $200 / year
  • Patron: Above benefits, plus:
 One free gift household membership for friends and family $250 / year
  • Linnaeus: Above benefits, plus: Recognition in annual report $500 / year
  • Three Crowns: Above benefits, plus: Behind-the-scenes tour for four people $1000 / year
  • Life: Above benefits, plus: Name listed on the Life Member Recognition Board $3000 one time

Become a member or renew your membership online, by calling us at 612-871-4907, by joining or renewing in-person at ASI’s front desk, or by mailing a check in the appropriate amount to:

Your membership has a major impact. Memberships support the many programs, exhibitions, and activities that bring ASI’s campus to life every day for all of our participants.

You should receive your membership cards in about a week of joining or renewing. If you would like to visit ASI before the cards arrive, you can show a picture ID at the entrance and our staff can verify your membership in our database.

Household memberships are valid for two adults who live at the same address and any children under 18 who live with them.

Yes! You will receive two renewal reminders by standard mail as well as an email reminder if you share your email contact information with us.

Yes! Be sure to check the box ‘This Membership is a Gift’ in the application form and fill out the additional information about who the gift is for and where the membership materials should be sent.

Contributing Level Memberships are tax-deductible. Basic Level Memberships are not tax-deductible. The following amounts of each membership are tax-deductible:

Supporter: $95.

Non-Resident Contributor: $120.

Patron: $170.

Linneaus: $420.

Three Crowns: $920.

Life: $2,920.

Yes! If you purchase a membership using a credit or debit card, you can sign up for automatic renewals. To sign up, check the box for “Renew this membership automatically when it expires” when joining or renewing.

We would love for you to share ASI with your guests! Some membership levels include guest passes. Otherwise, your guests will either need to pay for admission or sign up for their own membership.
