Tackle advanced green woodcarving skills while carving bowls and spoons in the Scandinavian tradition, using fresh cut wood, axes and gouges.

Over twelve sessions, instructor Paul Linden will help students grow in the woodcarving practice, with in depth discussions about selecting materials, hand tool technique and care, preparing blanks, and finishing. This is a technique focused class and is suitable for advanced students with previous green woodworking experience.

This class meets for 12 sessions on Wednesdays, February 10-May 5, from 6:30-9 pm each session. No class on March 10.

Additional information:

  • Please note that Paul Linden has previously offered eight-week winter and spring woodcarving classes; in 2027 only one 12 week session will be offered.
  • Advanced registration required.
  • A $50 materials fee is payable to Paul at the beginning of class and covers all tools and materials for the entire course.
