ASI prioritizes your safety by following MDH and CDC guidelines to ensure a secure environment. Masking is optional for all, regardless of vaccination status. While vaccinations are not mandated, ASI strongly encourages them to protect against COVID-19. Stay home if ill, get tested, and practice good hygiene to help keep the community healthy. For more information, please refer to the MDH guidelines.
ASI is committed to providing a clean and safe experience for all and provides hand sanitizer throughout the buildings. ASI frequently cleans and disinfects all spaces—especially high-traffic areas. The historic surfaces throughout the Turnblad Mansion, because they do not tolerate harsh cleaning products, are regularly dusted and cleaned with soap and water.
ASI uses an advanced air–regulation system connected to its geothermal heating and cooling. Air filters have been upgraded and are frequently replaced. Portable HEPA filters are also placed throughout the Turnblad Mansion where modern ventilation systems may not present.
All visitors to the Museum need to stop by the front desk and check in. FIKA diners can check in at the restaurant counter. Reservations are not available or required.
Please give priority for the elevators to those with mobility needs. Stairs are available for those who wish to use them.
While increased vaccinations have made going to public places safer, a visit to a public space, including a museum, still includes an inherent risk of exposure to the COVID-19 virus.
ASI employees contribute to creating a clean, safe, enjoyable museum environment.
