For all museum admissions, dining at FIKA Café, private events, and shopping in the Museum Store:
For all in-person programs, classes, and workshops:
ASI is committed to providing a clean and safe experience for all and provides hand sanitizer throughout the buildings. ASI frequently cleans and disinfects all spaces—especially high-traffic areas. The historic surfaces throughout the Turnblad Mansion, because they do not tolerate harsh cleaning products, are regularly dusted and cleaned with soap and water.
ASI uses an advanced air–regulation system connected to its geothermal heating and cooling. Air filters have been upgraded and are frequently replaced. Portable HEPA filters are also placed throughout the Turnblad Mansion where modern ventilation systems may not present.
ASI advises that all visitors, staff and volunteers be vaccinated against COVID-19. Visitors are also asked to assess their health before arriving and stay home if feeling ill.
All visitors to the Museum need to stop by the front desk and check in. FIKA diners can check in at the restaurant counter. Reservations are not available or required.
Please give priority for the elevators to those with mobility needs. Stairs are available for those who wish to use them.
While increased vaccinations have made going to public places safer, a visit to a public space, including a museum, still includes an inherent risk of exposure to the COVID-19 virus.
ASI employees contribute to creating a clean, safe, enjoyable museum environment.
Face coverings Face coverings are now optional for staff and visitors while indoors.
Response team A staff group meets regularly to review and adjust our preparedness plan, according to changes from state health officials.
