About ASI / Instructors / Liz Stopka

Liz Stopka

Liz Stopka (she/her) credits her childhood days at Sjölunden (Concordia Language Villages) for sparking her lifelong passion for both Swedish and language education. With degrees in Scandinavian Studies and Second Language Education from the University of Minnesota, she has taught Swedish and English to students of all ages in the US and abroad. She strives to create a classroom environment where students feel comfortable, curious and creative while learning Swedish and have a lot of fun in the process! In her free time, she enjoys reading, cross-stitching, taking long walks, and studying languages (currently, Polish).
