About ASI / Instructors / Jessica Karlsson

Jessica Karlsson

Jessica is from the deep forests of Småland in Sweden, but has lived in the U.S. for many years in places like Chicago, Boston, Iowa City and now Rochester, Minnesota. She is a historian by training with a specific focus on American-Chinese relations in the 18th – 20th centuries. Jessica is passionate about museums and education, and loves everything Swedish. When she is not busy enjoying time outdoors with her family, she likes to cook and bake in her very small kitchen!
