This class meets weekly for 12 Thursdays from September 17–December 10, 2026. Class does not meet the week of November 23.
An advanced level Finnish course taught by Daniel Haataja starting a new novel Kolibri by Kati Hiekkapelto. This class will read around 20 pages per week and discuss the material in Finnish. Advanced Finnish classes are suitable for students who have completed all levels of Suomen mestari or otherwise feel comfortable reading Finnish literature.
Required materials: Kolibri by Kati Hiekkapelto. This book is available as an e-book from various sites or students can purchase a paperback copy through the Finnish bookstore Akateeminen. It is not available in the ASI store. Advanced registration required.
