Starting with Slöjd is a monthly program for early elementary students. Participants explore new tools, materials, and skills that prepare them for a lifelong love of handcraft. Instructor Anna Ruhland will lead students in gathering natural materials like sticks, leaves, and stems outdoors at the American Swedish Institute. Anna will then teach students how to weave these materials on a simple loom to create a unique and natural tapestry.
