Students in grades K-2 are invited to explore Nordic handcraft in the monthly Starting with Slöjd program. This month’s focus is paper quilling.

Starting with Slöjd is a monthly program for early elementary students. Participants explore new tools, materials, and skills that prepare them for a lifelong love of handcraft. This month, we’re making one-of-a-kind Valentine’s Day cards!

Anna Ruhland will teach young makers the art of paper quilling, using a variety of techniques to make different shapes out of colorful paper. These shapes can then be glued onto a Valentine’s Day card!

Additional information:

  • These are drop-off programs. Adults may not accompany children during this program.
  • Suitable for students who are currently in Kindergarten through 2nd grade (ages 6-8).
