Sing, dance, laugh, and create lasting holiday memories together at ASI’s annual Juglädje celebration concert.

This program will go on sale Monday, September 28 (ASI members) and Friday, October 2 (public).

Families are invited to celebrate the holiday season with Juglädje, ASI’s beloved family concert filled with music, stories, games, and smiles. Hosted by beloved performer Ross Sutter and his talented friends, this annual traditon brings generatoins together through Swedish and Swedish American holiday songs, interactive storytelling, and joyful moments for the whole family. Ross, along with Cheryl Paschke on fiddle, Marya Hart on piano, and Rose Arrowsmith as Tomte Kajsa, creates a warm and welcoming experience that feels like gathering around the family piano. Children become part of the celebration as Tomte Kajsa leads them through a creative, musical adventure filled with imagination. New this year, ASI’s Lilla Lag, led by Ingela Haaland, joins the Sunday performance to add even more music and holiday cheer. From the youngest members to the oldest, Julglädje invites everyone to sing, dance, laugh, and create lasting memories togeher.

Additional information:

  • Julglädje takes place in Larson Hall on the second floor of the Nelson Cultural Center.
  • Food and beverages are allowed in Larson Hall.
  • Please reserve a ticket for every member of your group.
  • Museum admission is included with registration.
  • Families are encouraged to explore ASI’s annual holiday experience, visit the Museum Store, and enjoy FIKA Café before or after the performance.
  • On Saturday, FIKA Café opens early for counter service and the Museum Store opens early for holiday shopping.
  • Doors open at 8:20 am on Saturday for check-in and seating.
  • Please register by November 20.
  • ASI may cancel a performance due to low registration.
