Refresh your Swedish: Beginning

Are you planning to begin your Swedish studies in September? Or do you need a refresher of the basics? This class will give the beginning student a head-start in Swedish before the fall term. Over four Tuesdays, the class will look at the basics of Swedish grammar and conversation by reading and discussing texts and then doing corresponding exercises. The book is “Learn Swedish – Swedish Reader for Beginners” (Hildeman & Beite, Stockholm University), a truly charming text that takes a mid-century approach to Sweden and Swedish. For this class, we’ll begin with chapter 1. A PDF of the book is available online and several copies are available to enrolled students on a first-come basis.
