Build Your Own Clay Vases

Create a set of unique vases just in time for spring! Students will work in wet clay slabs to hand build two or three cylindrical vases up to 8” high. It’s your choice—will they all match, or will you create a coordinating set of different heights? The options don’t end there! Stamps and tools will be available to add additional decorative elements, and then students will learn about possible glaze combinations and fill out a color card. Instructor Sue Flanders will bisque fire the pieces until solid, then glaze and fire each piece a second time before returning them to ASI for students to pick up about two weeks later. All materials are covered in the $15 materials fee. Suitable for experience levels, ages 18+.
