About ASI / Instructors / Matt Bruch

Matt Bruch

Matt is a carver of Scandinavian flat-plane figures and greenwood spoons based in the Twin Cities. He first encountered whittling as a Boy Scout. Today he continues making shavings at home—which he finds quiet, restorative, and satisfying—often resulting in a unique gift for a loved one. He is passionate about helping both the young and old alike get started in wood carving.
