Swedish Christmas goat made out of straw used as a decoration during the holidays. There is a giant one built in Gävle, Sweden, every year and this year ASI has added its own oversized julbock to the collection. Hur många julbock har du hemma? How many straw Christmas goats do you have at home?

Join Duluth based textile artist Kirsten Aune for a few hours of practicing decorative hand stitching on hand printed fabrics. Students will experiment with the interplay of printed fabric and thread as they work on Kirsten’s colorful, Scandi-inspired textiles and practice five stitches. Depending on past hand sewing experience, students will complete a pin cushion, small pouch, or both. All materials are provided, a $25 materials fee is due to Kirsten Aune in class. Suitable for ages 16+.
