Ross Sutter’s dulcimer building workshop allows youth to complete and learn how to play a one-stringed dulcimer that will last for years. Participants (ages 8 – 12 years old) will take their new instruments and sheet music home with them so they can continue to play after the camp ends. Ross Sutter has a degree in Music Education and has nearly thirty years of experience working in schools all over the Midwest and Europe. Ross’s school residencies are a lively excursion into diverse cultures, with an emphasis on student involvement.
Registration closes 3 weeks before the camp begins.
Please ensure that all children come prepared with their lunch, a water bottle, and sun protection. It’s important that everyone wears appropriate clothing for messy art projects and outdoor activities.
Camp starts at 9 am, so we kindly ask adults to drop off their campers 10-15 minutes before the scheduled start time. Pick-up will be promptly at 3 pm.
