Get On the Bus - Tour Swede Hollow

Visit Swede Hollow aboard Minneapolis-vintage city busses provided by program partner Minnesota Transportation Museum as part of a series of ASI fall tours of significant Swedish-American metro area historical sites. "Swede Hollow" is a ravine in the middle of St. Paul, where a thousand new immigrants, Swedes included, once occupied a troubled slum city.

Guided by Friends of Swede Hollow, see the site and hear what life was like during the 1800s and early 1900s. Today Swede Hollow is a nature park with a bike path, yet a haunting sense of lives once lived, remains.

The tour leaves from ASI. Please dress for the weather and be prepared physically to walk the park and the ravine.
