Norma Refsal

Norma has been inspired by the art of the North since living in Telemark, Norway, the heart of traditional Norwegian folk arts. In Jokkmokk, Sweden, she was introduced to the time-honored arts of the Sami people – their lives intertwined with the reindeer and their artistic use of materials at hand. Reindeer leather, antler, spun pewter thread, the northern lights and the midnight sun all converge and weave new art from old dreams.
