Join Slow Burn founder Sara Wait for a hands-on workshop centered around the art of dipping Twin Flame Tapers, using an age-old method of candle making still practiced across Nordic cultures. Using local materials, each participant will learn the traditional method of hand-dipping pure beeswax taper candles: slowly building layers of beeswax onto cotton wicks, one dip at a time, until the tapers reach their complete form. The two tapers are then carefully hand-twisted into a singular piece, culminating in a sculptural taper that holds two flames. The Twin Flame Taper is a poetic representation of the ebb and flow of relationships. As the dual flames burn side by side, they honor the beauty of togetherness while also reflecting the importance of space, individuality, self-care, and growth.

Take home a tapered candle perfect for gifting for Alla Hjärtans Dag (Valentine’s Day) or adding a warm, handmade touch to illuminate your home during the winter.
