Slöjd Studio is a monthly program for young makers (grades 3–5). Participants will practice slöjd techniques and explore new tools as they continue to nurture their lifelong love of handcraft. Although ASI educators designed this drop-off program as a continuation of Starting with Slöjd, prior participation in that program is not required.

Join ASI instructor Anna Ruhland for a day of basket weaving! Students will learn basket-weaving techniques using Minnesota-harvested plants to create a beautiful, natural basket perfect for spring.

Additional information:

  • Check in at the ASI front desk by 12:45 pm. ASI staff will tell you where to drop off your 3rd-5th grade child.
  • Class starts at 1 pm; pick up is at 3 pm.
  • Adults cannot stay during the program.
  • Museum admission is not included.
