Discover the possibilities of rya weaving! Join ASI instructor Anna Ruhland to learn the many different ways rya can be used in weaving projects. Students can take the skills and techniques they learned to create a woven piece of art inspired by Handwoven: Between Chaos and Order.

Slöjd Studio is a monthly program for young makers (grades 3-5). Participants will practice slöjd techniques and explore new tools as they continue to nurture their lifelong love of handcraft. Although ASI educators designed this drop-off program as a continuation of Starting with Slöjd, prior participation in that program is not required.

Additional information:

  • Check in at the ASI front desk by 12:45 pm. ASI staff will tell you where to drop off your 3rd-5th grade child.
  • Class starts at 1 pm; pick up is at 3 pm.
  • Adults cannot stay during the program.
  • Museum admission is not included.
