Sketching the Castle in Watercolor and Ink with Tara Sweeney

This class runs Thursday and Friday, March 12-13, 10 am-4 pm both days.

Let the March winds blow as you sketch inside ASI’s historic Turnblad Mansion. Students will combine watercolor and ink on location to capture the Castle’s finely crafted spaces and architectural details through direct observation. Artist Tara Sweeney will guide students through the basics of mixing road-tested portable materials and techniques on the sketchbook page with expert demonstrations and individualized support. Students will take home original sketches of the Turnblad Mansion, as well as the know-how to keep sketching wherever they go.
