Midwinter Folk Festival returns to ASI this February, offering a vibrant three-day celebration of Nordic folk music, dance and craft. The festival will feature the Upper Midwest’s finest folk artists alongside international headliners, Lynx Lynx and Skye Consort & Emma Björling. Come enjoy 16 performances, 8 community led jams, 6 Nordic folkways presentations, 4 music workshops, 1 social dance and a mini handcraft market with demonstrations.

Whether you’re interested in jamming with other musicians, dancing your heart out or just listening to music, we’ve got something for you. ASI is pleased to partner again with the University of Wisconsin to present our Nordic Folkways presentations at the festival highlighting masters of Nordic traditions. Bring your friends and enjoy a weekend of music and culture with ASI!

All festival activities will take place at ASI, including the Midwinter Nordic Dance, led by Mary Beth Rotto on Friday, Feb 20 from 6-9 pm. 2 full days of music and tradition follow on Saturday, Feb 21 and Sunday, Feb 22 from 10 am-4 pm.
