Knit Silk Ruffled Cuff Workshop with Wendy Johnson

Knit ruffles like a Victorian Swede! Working with silk yarn, knitters will create Victorian-style ruffled cuffs based on historical garments. The finished cuffs can be used to adorn an existing garment or craft a unique bracelet. Knitwear designer Wendy Johnson will also discuss the history of garment design in Sweden during the Victorian era as well as the history of silk mills in Sweden.

• Age range: Suitable for ages 16+. A discounted youth price is available at checkout.
• Skill level: This class is designed for knitters who can cast on and off, knit and purl. Previous experience with silk is not necessary.
• Materials: A $30 materials fee covers provided yarn and pattern.
• Students should bring their own needles: Size 3 U.S. [3.25 mm], 24-inch, circular needles or Size 2 U.S. [2.75 mm] needles if they are a loose knitter, plus 3 stitch markers in solid ring form (not split), if they have them.
