Try out the art of woodcut printmaking in this one-day class! Woodcut prints are one of the oldest forms of printmaking and can capture a range of styles. Students will work alongside artist Nan to carve and print their own design–a perfect introduction for novice printmakers or reintroduction for anyone who is returning to this craft. Students will choose an image or sketch before class, then learn how to prepare a wood block, carve their image, and print multiple copies of a 4×6-inch single-color design. Students will leave with their finished print block and their prints.
