Discover the fabric embellishment technique of Swedish Huck Weaving in this half-day class! This method blends surface embroidery with weaving, producing seemingly complex geometric and linear designs on huck fabric, a type of woven material especially suited to this technique. Working alongside fiber artist Wendy Johnson, students will use the provided pattern to embroider a prepared hand towel perfect for everyday use or display. Huck Weaving samples and books will be available for reference during class. Along with your finished project, take home a new skill that can be used to embellish many common household items such as table linens, aprons, pillows, and wall hangings!
