Try embroidering with linen! Freehand linen embroidery can be a fun and expressive approach to needle art. In this afternoon class, students will start a linen sampler with a selection of basic embroidery stitches. Students will head home with a small sampler featuring a floral motif, ready to display and serve as inspiration to continue stitching at home! A more robust version of this class is available the following day, allowing for more learning and starting a larger project.

Additional information:

  • A $10 materials fee due in class covers all the necessary materials.
  • Students should bring along any favorite hand sewing tools (especially a pair of sharp embroidery snips and fabric scissors) if they have them, and magnification (i.e., readers) if they need it.
  • Skill level: Open to all levels of experience but particularly geared towards novice stitchers.
  • Ages: Suitable for ages 16+. A discounted tuition fee is available for students ages 16-17 at checkout.
  • Advanced registration required.
