Learn to weave bands on an inkle loom, a useful, portable loom for weaving bands up to 8 feet long and 3 inches wide in all types of patterns and styles. In this one-day class geared towards beginners, students will learn how to warp the loom using a system of string heddles and start weaving a patterned band by combining different colors of yarn. Students can expect to head home with a band about 1” wide and up to 4’ long by the end of the day. Instructor Josie will provide optional hardware for students to turn their new band into a belt, lanyard, or bracelet, along with inspiration and information on how to continue using inkle looms for further weaving adventures.
