Location: American Swedish Institute
Instructor: Cami Andersen
Cost: $65 ($55 ASI Member)
Material Fee: $15
Join Scandinavian enthusiast and artist Cami to learn all about cross stitch with a folk-art twist. After a short introduction to Nordic folk art and history, students will receive step-by-step instructions to complete their own 3″ floral cross-stitch piece. Students will head home with a finished piece perfect for display and the skills to read a cross-stitch chart to continue this craft on their own after class. Skill level: Open to all skill levels. No previous cross-stitch or sewing experience is necessary. Ages: Suitable for ages 16+. A $15 materials fee paid to the instructor in class covers all materials, patterns, and tool use. If possible, students should bring thread scissors and their own magnification (such as readers) for close work, if needed.
