Fill the Bus for PICA Head Start!

ASI’s has enjoyed a long partnership with our friends and neighbors across Park Avenue, Parents in Community Action (PICA) Head Start.  PICA is a federally-funded preschool program that serves under-resourced families in Minneapolis with services including early childhood development, health services, workforce development programs and parent training opportunities.

ASI partnered with PICA on a resource drive in 2020, and we’re coming together to serve local families in need again.

We invite you to help us uplift this community. ASI is collecting donations of essential items now through Friday, February 6. PICA will bring their bus over on Friday to collect the donations, and we’re hoping to fill it many times over! If you’d like to contribute financially, please visit PICA’s GiveMN page.

If you’re moved to help, please bring donations to ASI’s front desk during public hours between Fri, Jan 30 and Fri, Feb 6.

Requested items:

• Bottled water
• Diapers (all sizes)
• Baby wipes
• Wash cloths
• Towels
• Toiletries (deodorant, lotion, etc.)
• Toothbrushes and toothpaste (kids and adults)
• Cleaning supplies (laundry detergent, dishwashing soap, disinfectant wipes or sprays, etc.)
• Toilet paper
• Paper towels
• Socks (new, all sizes for children and adults)
• Warm children’s clothes and underwear (new, all sizes)
• Winter gear (new, children’s hats, gloves, mittens, scarves, jackets, etc.)
• First aid kits (new)
• Juice boxes and snack bags
