(SOLD OUT) Felted Kitchen Textiles

Adorn your kitchen with practical and beautiful felted objects. Wool felt is ideal for the kitchen since this fiber is durable, easy to clean, non-flammable, anti-microbial, and doesn’t absorb odors. Led by felting instructor Elise and using wool as their creative medium, students will wet felt colorful and artistic designs in a useful form, choosing from potholders, trivets, placemats, or seat cozies. Depending upon the size and your pace, more than one item may be made. Physical ability: Students need good hand strength and the ability to stand for extended periods. Skill level: Open to all skill levels. No felting experience required. Ages: Suitable for ages 16+, or ages 11-15 registered alongside an adult. A $40 materials fee is due to the instructor in class and covers all materials and tools. If possible, students should bring 1-2 old bath towels, a bag to take home wet projects, and an apron.
