Celebrate Valborg on ASI’s fenced-in lawn with family-friendly festivities that welcome spring. Designed for families with children ages 4-12, this outdoor program introduces families to Valborg, a beloved Swedish holiday that marks the arrival of spring with song, fire, and community gatherings. Families sing Swedish songs, gather around bonfires, cook over an open flame, and connect in community, with all fire-related activities supervised by ASI staff, Liz Stopka, and Lindsey Tscherne.

  • The Turnblad Mansion, exhibitions, Museum Store, and FIKA Café will remain closed during the program.
  • Restrooms will be accessible, the lawn is stroller accessible, and limited outdoor seating will be available.
  • This program takes place outside, so families should dress for the weather. ASI will contact registrants if the weather requires cancellation.
