Join Slow Burn founder Sara Wait for a hands-on workshop centered on the art of dipping beeswax taper candles, using an age-old method of candlemaking still practiced across Nordic cultures. Using local materials, each student will learn the traditional method of hand-dipping pure beeswax taper candles: slowly building layers of beeswax onto cotton wicks, one dip at a time, until the tapers reach their complete form. Each student will make and take home a pair of 12″ taper candles, perfect for gifting or adding a warm, handmade touch to their home. No prior experience is necessary, just a willingness to slow down and enjoy the rhythm of the wax.
