Try out the art of lucet braiding, using a simple wooden hand tool to create colorful and durable cords with craft artist Riley Kleve. From the Viking era up till industrialization, lucet cords were ubiquitous for holding, tying, and embellishing all types of clothing and objects. Square, firm, and flexible, lucet braids are perfect for using as lanyards, shoelaces, replacing a cord on a bag or hoodie, and anything else you can think up.
