Craft and Cocktails Workshop: Carve and Paint a Ceramic Ornament

Join potter Kim Burnham of ImoKim Pottery to try out decorating a ceramic ornament with the sgrafitto technique while enjoying a beverage from FIKA Café! Students will learn the basics of adding a design to ceramics by carving and painting on a round 3.5” greenware ornament base. Use a template provided by the instructor or bring ideas for your own design! The ornaments will be glazed with a top clear coat and then fired before returning to ASI for pick up a few weeks after class. One beverage from FIKA is included in the class fee. Skill level: Open to all skill levels. Ages: Craft and Cocktails programs are suitable for ages 21+. A $25 materials fee is paid to the instructor in class and covers all tools and materials. A beverage from FIKA Café is included in the class fee. Fired ornaments will be returned to ASI for pick up a few weeks after class.
