SUMMARY:(SOLD OUT) Mini Makers
DESCRIPTION:This program is sold out. To be added to the waitlist\, please call 612-871-4907.  \n\nMini Makers Camp offers children ages 6–10 an inspiring introduction to the Scandinavian tradition of slöjd\, a hands-on educational philosophy rooted in Swedish pedagogy. Slöjd emphasizes learning by doing\, valuing the creative process\, and connecting craft to cultural heritage. \nIn this one-day experience\, campers work with traditional slöjd materials to design and complete a variety of projects. Instructors guide campers through each step while encouraging independence and creative problem-solving. Campers focus on effort and growth\, building both skills and confidence in a supportive community. \nIn just one day\, Mini Makers Camp gives children the opportunity to create with their hands\, connect with culture\, and feel proud of what they accomplish. Campers leave with complete projects\, new skills\, and a sense of belonging within a creative community. \nMini Makers Camp Testimonials\n“The classes you offer are so important to children. You provide such a wide variety that everyone has the opportunity to try something new and build new skills. Your programs are a truly valuable educational resource. Our camper talks highly of her teachers\, and we can see how much you love what you do through your enthusiasm\, kindness\, and hard work. You make learning fun and create wonderful memories for the kids. We truly appreciate all that you do. You should feel proud that you are inspiring children to be creative and to learn.” \n-ASI Camp Family \n“Your camps are some of the highest quality in the area\, and we know that comes from the care and support you put into every detail. We are proud to be part of the ASI community.”\n– ASI Camp Family \nRegistration closes on July 15 (three weeks before camp start date).
