Workshop: Going Green for the Holidays

This program is sold out. Please call 612-871-4907 to be added to a waitlist.

Go green this holiday with fresh, locally grown evergreen decorations! Christine Hoffman, a floral designer and “Slow Flowers” advocate who specializes in local and organic florals, will walk students through two simple garlands using fresh winter greenery and preserved natural elements. She’ll share each project step by step, allowing students to play along from home or watch and finish the projects later. You’ll be ready to deck your halls with natural, fragrant holiday décor for the season!

This is a live virtual class taught over Zoom. Students need a strong internet connection and a device with video capabilities.

Students may choose to order an optional kit ($10 value) or may treat the class as a demonstration and collect materials to complete the projects afterwards. Each kit includes preserved floral elements, twine, and some greenery to get you started. Students should also have a pair of floral snips or scissors on hand. Kits will be available for pick up at the American Swedish Institute one week before class, starting November 26, or can be shipped for an additional $10 fee. Registration for this kit-based class closes on November 24.
