Workshop: Filmkväll – Ronja, the Robber’s Daughter

Join Patrice for this one-of-a-kind Nordic Table class: cook a thematic menu in your own kitchen with Patrice’s guidance, then settle in for a filmkväll (movie night) at home with the classic 1984 Ronja Rovarsdotter. Patrice will pull inspiration from Ronja’s life in the castle and woods to build a menu that can be assembled over our two hour class, before everyone settles in for the film at home over dinner. Please note, you’ll have to cue up the film yourself, but it’s widely available for streaming or rental.

This is a live virtual class taught over Zoom. Students need a strong internet connection and a device with video capabilities.

This class is meant to be a participatory cooking experience and multiple guests are welcome via each connection. A shopping list will be shared one week in advance, so students can make sure they have all the ingredients on hand. Please note that students must arrange to view the film themselves after class – ASI will share some suggested sources with the shopping list. Menus may include meat or fish but will offer a vegetarian alternative.
