Wet Felting with Resists

This class runs Friday-Sunday, March 1-3, 9 am-5 pm each day.

Join visiting international teaching artist Danish feltmaker Mette Østman for a three day exploration of felting vessels using resists! Wet felting around a resist allows the creation of seamless, sturdy felted objects of all kinds, from bags to hats to tea cozies. Students will have a choice of colors and projects to work from over three days and should expect to complete one, two, or even more projects depending on the size and complexity. This class is appropriate for both newer felters and those with more experience, as the three days allow plenty of time for discussion, demonstration, and tackling more advanced topics, as appropriate.

Please note, a materials fee for this class will vary based on the projects chosen, about $50-$100. Wet felting requires periods of standing and physical activity. Suitable for ages 18+.
