Watercolor Interiors with Tara Sweeney

This class runs Wed, January 10 and Thu, January 11, 10 am–5 pm both days.

Capture a favorite indoor space in glowing watercolor this winter! Whether you are inspired by the quality of light, figures and furniture, or architectural details, you’ll practice the basics of creating a watercolor from a photo over two days. Working from reference photos, students will practice building a value study and build to a full color painting. This workshop welcomes all levels and is an excellent opportunity to build confidence in watercolor techniques such as color mixing, wet-into-wet mingling, transparent layering, and lost and found edges.

This class format combines step-by-step tutorials, class sharing, creative prompts, and individualized feedback and is suitable for all levels experience. No prior drawing or painting experience needed.
