An advanced level Swedish literature course taught by Jessica Karlsson. This class will continue reading a historical fiction novel called Väninnorna på Nordiska Kompaniet by Ruth Kvarnström-Jones which was started in fall term. The class reads around 20-30 pages per week. The instructor incorporates layers of historical events and cultural concepts touched upon in the book to enhance class discussions. The class previously read the book De fenomenala fruntimren på Grand Hotel by the same author.
Required materials: Väninnorna på Nordiska Kompaniet by Ruth Kvarnström-Jones. This class meets in-person at ASI.
