Special Edition Kids at the Castle: With Stars Above

Seth Eberle returns to ASI this March for a Special Edition of Kids at the Castle with With Stars Above! In the winter when the sun sets early, it is easy to feel down. Elvis Otter is lonely and sad. His friends try to help, showing him how winter is wonderful and how to find joy, even in the darkest of seasons. However, as soon as his friends leave, the Goblins come and gobble up his happiness. How can Elvis chase away the darkness and convince his friends that the Goblins are real? Through hand-carved marionette characters, hand puppets, and beautiful music, With Stars Above considers how families and friends can find warmth together in the deepest winter.

Directed, created, and produced by Seth Eberle. Written by Claudia Hankin, Music by Chase D. Burkhart, Performed by Seth Eberle and Kallie Melvin. Seth Eberle is a puppet artist who uses hand-carved marionettes to tell stories for family audiences. His performances have been seen around the Twin Cities and nationally, including at the Detroit Institute of Art and the Great Plains Regional Puppet Festival in Iowa. Seth works in Minneapolis with the Hinterhands puppet company through the Wish Work Puppet series. Look for new puppet shows each season!

The program begins at 9 am in Larson Hall, with doors opening at 8:30 am. After the fun, explore the museum, play in the family gallery, shop in the Museum Store, or grab a treat at FIKA Café! Includes museum admission.
