Sjung! Swedish Children’s Songs

This class, taught by instructor Ingela Haaland, will meet to talk about, read, and sing through some of the most cherished children’s jul songs in Sweden. Sing them for your (grand)children. What do the texts mean? What is the origin of each song, and who wrote them? Students will listen to recordings of the songs and then sing them together. No prior knowledge of Swedish necessary.
