School Break Camp: Scandinavian Folk Traditions

Dive into Swedish folk traditions in this lively, hands-on camp led by musical performer Ross Sutter and folk dance instructor Carol Sersland. Blending music, movement, and creativity, campers will create a traditional art project, learn to play the dulcimer, and practice folk dances. Every camper will even take home a new instrument to keep the music going. Campers must bring their own lunches and water bottles.

Registration closes three weeks before the camp start date, on Monday, January 27, at 10 am.

One adult receives museum admission to explore the Turnblad Mansion and current exhibition, along with access to a shared workspace during camp hours. Children should bring a lunch, a water bottle, and dress for messy art-making. Adults will receive detailed camp information after registration—advanced registration required.

Please drop children off no later than 8:50 am. Doors will open at 8:40 am. Pick up campers promptly at 3 pm.
