Scandinavian Wooden Figure Carving

This class runs Tuesday, September 26 and Wednesday, September 27, from 9 am–5 pm both days.

Join long-time ASI woodcarving instructor Bill Jaeger for two days of flat plane-style figure carving! This iconic folk art transforms a wooden blank into a character full of personality with just a knife and a little paint. Bill will come out of retirement for this one-time class with a few new designs, offering a student-centered environment with independent work time and individualized instructor attention. Please note, woodcarving requires good hand strength and dexterity and this class requires the ability to sit for long periods. Suitable for all levels of carving experience, ages 18+.

A materials fee of $15 per blank is paid to the instructor in class. Students should bring their own carving knife, glove and any other tools they prefer.
