Preschool Program: Needle Felted Insects

Explore Swedish (and Swedish-American) traditions with your little one. Together we’ll answer the questions “What do Swedish families do throughout the year?” and “Why do they do it?”. This program is specifically designed for children ages 3–5 and their favorite grownups. Adult accompaniment is required and advance registration is required for all Preschool Programs. Limit one adult per registered preschooler. Free for accompanying adults.

Preschoolers will discover a love of slöjd in this hands-on intergenerational workshop. Special guest and owner of Traveling Tomten, Jen Newburg, will teach preschoolers how to create needle-felted butterflies or dragonflies. Jen will have a limited number of additional needle felting kits for purchase after the program.
