Playful Spring Watercolor Projects

This class meets two days, Wednesday March 27 and Thursday, March 28, from 10 am-5 pm both days.

Capture spring on the page in this playful two-day watercolor class with artist Tara Sweeney! We’ll follow watercolors’ lead to explore the colors, patterns, and shapes from both direct observation and our imagination. Then, we’ll experiment with simple paper engineering techniques to cut and create unique pop-up cards. You’ll leave with original watercolor art, a pop-up card or two, and inspiration for more painting to come. Students will follow along with several demos and receive plenty of opportunity for individualized feedback throughout the day. No prior drawing or painting experience needed, all levels of ability welcome!
