Painted Ceramic Tray

Create a piece of pottery you can use in your home every day! In this class, we will first form small trays from clay slabs and then paint them with colorful underglazes. Students may choose a pattern provided by instructors Sue Flanders and Ingrid Sundstrom or bring their own inspiration. The instructors will fire the trays and glaze them with a clear coating after the class before returning them to ASI for students to pick up a few weeks after class.

Prerequisites:

Skill level: Open to all skill levels.

Ages: Suitable for ages 16+.

Tools and Materials:

A $20 materials fee per student is payable to the instructor in class.
