Taking inspiration from Nordic herbal traditions, spend a day joyfully exploring the generational wisdom and knowledge of medicinal herbs and wild foods with herbalist, writer and instructor Gigi Risberg Stafne.
This workshop is grounded in both modern understandings of herbal medicine and the Norse mythology and oral traditions of Sunna, the Norse Sun goddess and healer. Using seasonal plants embodying sun and fire elements appropriate for the shift to summer seasons, students will make at least three herbal preparations to take home including teas, essences, and herb bundles. Suitable for ages 14 and up.
Students should bring a few glass jars with tight-fitting lids and a bag or basket to carry home their herbal preparations. A $30 materials fee is due to the instructor and covers all other materials.
